Our main activity is to take materials and equipment out to the public running workshops at events, in schools, community centres and other institutions. In these workshops we engage people to make a work of art through activities such as stone caring, wood carving, mosaic, printing, painting, construction and ceramics. We also work on public art commissions where these involve the community. Finally we run evening classes from our studio in Kennington. While our projects focus on art, we have a social aim to our projects as well. Our work is designed to bring communities together in a shared creative activity and provide the people involved with an opportunity to express themselves through art. We are passionate that there are things that can be said in art that cannot be said in words. Lastly we are committed to people going beyond their technical, creative or perceived limits in the work they do. From this people often report a sense of huge satisfaction and pride in achieving something they had not expected to achieve. |
