Through our activities Arts Express is committed to a number of different aims:

In our workshops people find themselves working alongside all sorts of different people they would never normally interact with and quite naturally leave with a sense of community. Many of our projects are designed to create community, including a number of intergenerational projects.

For many people our workshops are a rare opportunity to express themselves creatively. We passionately believe there are things that can be said art that cannot be said in words and these forms of expression can be very important to people.

We are also engaged in people going beyond something that would normally limit them, be that technical, creative or simply perceived. We find al lot of people come to our events with notions of ‘Art is not for me’ or ‘I can’t do art and leave with ‘I achieved something’, ‘I can do it’.

Last but not least we are committed to our projects being fun and engaging.
